To what extent does religion contribute to continuing human population growth?

Look around you; there are some 7.5 billion plus people on Earth; another 200k or so more per day. Does adherence to world faiths substantially add to the notion that "being fruitful and multiplying" is still okay?

A whole lot ! Some religions go way too far with that "fruitful and multiple" thing. Too many families with not just kids - but frightful litters !

You bet it does. You can almost guarantee that the religions with the most aggressive "Be fruitful and multiply" policies will be the ones with the most followers.
