LINK Sumter County, Ala. just got its first integrated school. Yes, in 2018. - The Washington Post

Yep, they say time moves slower in the Deep South...well, apparently, this is more true than not in Sumter County, AL. The good citizens (white, that is) fought segregation tooth and nail by means of the notorious "segregation academies" (if you've lived down South, you know what these are-the all-white Christian schools that developed after the U.S. Supreme Court ruling Brown v.Board Of Education in 1950s.

They'll acknowledge the rights of gay people to get married in the early 2100s and allow dating outside the family by 2200. Progressive folk.
