I don't know who said it, but I'm finding myself coming back to this phrase: "When you're accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression."

Yes!

There’s not enough room in this box for all the lol’s

Crying foul, playing the victim at every revelation of his own malfeasance is Trump's go-to tactic. His supporters are just following his lead. Trump didn't invent the tactic though. White guys who have been left behind by globalization and/or feel threatened by the improved lot of people of color and women have been decrying affirmative action as reverse discrimination for decades. These same disgruntled white guys tend to blame immigrants for their employment woes, claiming foreigners are taking all the good jobs. (Automation and robotics have taken way more jobs than immigrants.) That the data does not support their claims is no impediment to loudly declaiming their victimhood. As a white guy myself I find it unseemly and embarrassing. Man up gentlemen! Get some training! Crack the books! Reinvent yourselves! It's what everybody else has had to do.

By discrimination they mean "being held accountable for their actions". These are people who expect the entire world to give them what they want and throw tantrums when it doesn't.

10

It just feels that way to them because they've been so privileged in the past that equality feels like discrimination.
I say this as a white male; fortunately, I was brought up to believe in equality and justice, so this can only be good in my book.

Yes, because not getting to have your way at others expense is discrimination. Maybe if they weren't all assholes they wouldn't be treated as such.

Unexamined privilege, when challenged, feels like oppression.

Poor babies. There ought to be a law. 😛

Snorting coffee thru my nose, here...Big sad laugh of the day....

Great! I rolled my eyes so hard, I triggered a migraine.

I seriously can't take much more of this discrimination!!! It has to end. Why was i born a white male??? Why??? It's too hard wa wa waa waa

If you turn the thing around to read " Trump voters experience higher amounts of descrimination than other groups, men and Christians claim", it makes just as much, or little, sense. White males especially are by far the favored class in modern society. So for them to claim persecution is an amazing ploy to generate rage at a whole host of concocted boogy men for them to lash out at. Absent any legitimate threat, it's just diversion from privilege and a hollow excuse to bash those below them to shore up their status. So pathetic.

Trump's rhetoric appeals to the culture of victimhood, particularly those with a persecution complex.

Isn't this what conservatives have been saying about liberals for years?

@bingst accuse the opposition of that which you, yourself are guilty.

Who provides the most governors, judges, presidents, CEOs, congresspersons, senators, police chiefs etc. Predominantly male Christians. Sounds to me like they are not getting nearly enough discrimination.

The results of the brainless following the mindless.

Well put!

When you are on the top of the totem pole, financially, politically, and socially, any attempt at equalization of other ethnicities or faiths, will be seen by the ignorant as suppression. I have only this meme to share with my ignorant brethren.

Great meme!

5

To be expected from those who are insecure and just plain idiots.

It is unlikely the delusional will be delusional about only one thing.

Boy, they sure can't take the medicine they dish out, can they?

IKR!!

I think that he must be talking about himself and that fact that, especially, rich, Christian males, have no right to whine. But then it is a whine so that must be wrong...!?

That is the whole problem today, everyone thinks their problems are so much worse and more important than others. As such, you get tribalism and an unwillingness to work together or show any type of compassion or empathy.

2

Us male Trump supports just laugh, and brush off the feeble attempts at discrimination.

I am so beyond pissed how the media is treating this shit like it deserves anything but derision. Like that blow hard white boy claiming his shit eating grin and arrogant stance in front of a veteran was anything but white boy racisim and arrogance. He should have stepped to the side and escorted the guy through with sir and thank you for your service.
