Nothing really because no one has asked. I refuse to give money to non-profit organizations. If someone asks me to help them I will. To be honest, I don’t find a homeless veteran to be more deserving than anyone else.

No one asks they just provided for your security

@Marine Are there a lot of homeless WWII vets out there?

PhoebeCat I would guess they are mostly dead by now there are some korean around but many more thaat our politicians sent into harm's way for no reason and there are many who just play the game. However we still should support those who were injured as they might have given everything for a legit war. The government has let them down we should not

I haven't done much, but I want to. The best I do is give a vet who pan handling a 10$ bill, vote appropriately.

Supporting soup kitchens and contacting your Congressperson, Reorganized Red Cross and vet charities if you can find one that donates 90% to aide.

I vote Democrat and will vote Independent (Burnie Sanders), if he runs in the next presidential election.

To old we need young blood with similar ideas. Unfortunately Bernie has been labled a socialist and this will turn many off even though many of his ideas are great and I support them.

Have not seen any homeless but I know a couple who are suffering with PTSD from time in Iraq and Afghanistan. We have a Young Diggers Association that among other things trains dogs as companions for them, the dogs are permitted anywhere the same as a seeing eye dog. I have helped by finding dogs that needed a home and were suitable as companions for these guys. Many people with problems are placed to work with me as the first step of getting their lives back to normal, regardless of the problems they have. So, drug addiction, homelessness, mental illness, disability, injury rehabilitation I get them all.I have 2 guys at present with PTSD both from the same unit. I am anti war, but still acknowledge what they do. Strangely I went to the base for the send off of this particular crew when they left. Small world as my bosses son was in the same unit.

Excellent

voted against wars so we have less vets.

Great idea but it will not happen as there are three countries with million man armies Korea Russia China and plenty in the middle east that do not play by the same rules. No one likes wars especially the military .The latter are the least to want any war believe me having served.

@Marine I will remember that the next time McCain comes out for another war in the ME.

Thanks

I do whatever I can for my brothers and sisters. Meals. A place to stay for the night. A short job helping around our property if I can afford it. Let them use my address to use in job search. Back before my SSI was cut almost in half, I loaned out a cellular for them to use for contacts. After everything got cut back so much, I haven't been able to do much that is really productive, but I do what I can. We have to cover each other, you know. Our government hasn't been all that good at doing it of late.

Voted for candidates that I thought would provide the best assistance to them.

Good job
