Hate crimes in the U.S. had been on an over all decline until Trump, when an increase in hate crimes suddenly spiked upwards and continued to do so.
Trump's hate tweets have emboldened those on the fringe, as they see their views of hate as beign condoned. Nobody in the republican party is standing up and telling Trump to stop his hate rhetoric and so we get a mail bomber and more shootings... and Trump and republicans claims it has nothing to do with him/them.
