we operate on different levels, by that I mean humans.. it accounts for some of the discrepancies . We can look at male traits from a logical view, historical, or cultural. Humans are also highly sexual and we look for sexual partners with more aggressive qualities than we would otherwise like in our life.. I guess that herein lies the conflict that we are trying to address? I'm sure that men have their own version of this as well.
