I think so. I know many women (myself included) who really appreciate that. I think though that you probably also have the disadvantage of being easily manipulated or used by someone who doesn't appreciate romance. You be you, look out for yourself and you will find someone who appreciates you.

I am not naturally romantic, I don't get off on it, but an ex of mine was a hopeless romantic so I would make nice gestures and she would go diving with me. It worked.
