If the occcasion arises I will state that I am very progressive. For some reason I prefer progressive to liberal even if they represent the same thing. I feel the definitions are something that every human being should persue and that neither one has any negative position that should be avoided.
Yes, but we must remember that no all of us are. We must respect those that or non-progressives and non-liberals. And that is the language I like to use.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss politics ,religion, economics or anything you desire. My best friend is a conservative it just means we do not agree on how things should be run!
I have told everyone since I was a childhood that I am an Atheist, I even informed the Universities of New South Wales and Charles Sturt of that fact when I started studying for my Degrees in Theology and Comparative Modern Religions, much to the utter shock of the Lecturers, etc.
I remained an Atheist throughout and am still an Atheist though with an even stronger conviction thanks having a far better and deeper knowledge of religions.
I am a proud Socialist..and Atheist..how's that?
good for you-
Join me in celebrating compassion and truth.
I literally have a bleeding heart tattoed on my chest.
I'm pretty blatant about being both an atheist and a liberal.
If things come up in conversation (religion, politics, personal idiosyncrasies etc) I will hold forth. Otherwise I keep my opinions pretty much to myself.

I would if I were one, haha.
Sorry, I don't like being boxed into a term. If someone wants to call me a liberal I can't stop them but I am not going to invite it.
The local library sponsors programs where professors from either ASU or U of A come and we discuss sometimes very controversial topics. I will usually make a few comments and I do usually introduce myself as a liberal. I find that if I do so, people figure I'm being up front and on several occasions I have had people on the other side of the fence approach me with really good discussion points after the program.
Yes, I do in many situations. Announce or state doesn't seem like the way it happens though. It's more like it comes up in conversation. I.e. "Do you like Louisiana?" "Well, I kinda feel like a fish out of water here because I am liberal and Louisiana is anything but." I'm not ashamed of being an atheist or a liberal and I am just doing my teeny tiny part in letting the world know we are not monsters. The only reason I don't put it on a bumper sticker or a personalized plate is because I don't want the cost of vandalism repair.
I can usually pick out a liberal from a single interaction.
