Burden of proof. We all know this concept. If you are making the claim that gun control is the best course of action to quell the tide of violence in the US, then you have the burdon of proof. I have never seen any facts that support this ideaology that aren't out weighed by the benefits of gun ownership in this country. All too often gun control advocates shift the burdon of proof on to those who support people's right to self defense. That is unacceptable coming from a group of people who use burden of proof in their other arguments, specifically regarding religion. Next time you want to debate guns, come prepared with facts that support your position, not your unsubstantiated, feelings based claims. You won't be able to with out lying because the facts are not on your side, and neither is the bill of rights.
Very well stated, and I too am against any form of gun control.
