I don't read a lot, but I listen a lot to rock, so a lot of Sabaton, Ghost, and a band called Rumjacks

It's recently been brought to my attention that I have not answered my own question. So in case anyone was wondering, my favorite genre of music to listen to while I read is soft indie folk rock, and my all time favorite book is girl interrupted.

The only music that I can listen to while reading is classical. There are too many books to read for me to read the same one more than once. But my favorite book is The Ancestor's Tale by Richard Dawkins.

I prefer quiet when I read, Currently reading, "The Divine Matrix" by Gregg Braden. When I listen to music, I usually like rock, (classic or alternative), though I also enjoy classic swing, Irish Folk, and steampunk music.

Not a talent I ever tried to cultivate. Singularity of attention. Could never have music playing while trying to study.

Love to listen to Idir (amazigh / berber artist from North Africa) while reading Homo Deus by Yuval Harari, a mind-blowing book I had just finished recently in the bus travelling from Aberdeen to Glasgow.
