I have always held that the vocabulary we use to describe ourselves and the world around us has a defining impact on who we become and how our reality is perceived.

I found it interesting that the first thing to come up in the article was how we condition our children to be fearful of this and that. It was interesting because it was completely opposite of how I viewed growing up and what was good and what was bad. I was concerned for my children's safety, of course, but I also knew from my own upbringing that experience is our best teacher and that taking risk is how we progress.
