LINK Yes, Hillary Did Steal the Democratic Primary in 2016 | Soapboxie

"Let's get one thing straight. No matter how much the media says Hillary Clinton did not steal the Democratic nomination from Bernie Sanders, she did. Anyone who was paying more than passing attention to the 2016 Democratic primary knows that the willingness of the Clinton forces to cheat was obvious from the start, as far back as the Massachusetts primary when Bill Clinton himself illegally campaigned inside polling stations during voting hours."

Re: Biden, particularly if more DNC cheating takes place in this primary.

Could the plan be corporate stooge Democrat beats the much reviled Trump, having most people breathing a sigh of relief for that relatively minor shift of fortunes? Any primary rigging to shut out popular progressives will be ignored, the newly elected "centrist" will do little to rock the boat overall, particularly since the court is already stacked and they can claim their hands are tied, and the same GOP fucks rubber stamping the Trump agenda (along with Dem quislings) can go back to hating Dems as usual but without the Trump albatross to defend.

This would be a truly bipartisan effort the quash the progressive "menace." The narrative seems to fit so far.

The focus on Russia has sucked all the air out of the room. Nothing has been done about GOP voter suppression, the proven vulnerabilities of electronic voting, and the potential for media to again place their thumb on the scale.

The Comcast guy (owner of MSNBC) did a big donor fundraiser for Biden. MSNBC added 3% points onscreen to show Biden in the lead over Bernie, that their own poll numbers showed otherwise. The poll also happens to not include any younger voters.

These are the same type of "mistakes" as when Fox puts a "D" next to the name of a Republican caught doing something creepy or illegal.

I'm pretty sure super delegates had more of a role than any dirty tricks or cheating. It will be interesting this time around to see if the establishment candidate has a harder time with the new rules.

Part of what comes into play is momentum. Hers was declining as Bernie's was ascending. It was announced the day before the CA primary that Hillary had locked up the nomination, based partly by including superdelegates who hadn't even cast their vote.

I consider the theft equivalent to theives using a wide array of methods: embezzlement, stealing from the till, the loading dock, petty cash, fake checks, fake employee wages, armed robbery, dereliction of work duties, etc., etc., etc. It all adds up.

Stop whining. Bernie supporters helped elect Trump by:

  1. Refusing to vote in the 2016 presidential election.
  2. Throwing away their votes by voting for the Green Party.

Bernie Sanders has emerged as the Donald Trump of the left.

@BookDeath

I'll support anyone with a genuinely progressive agenda, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, etc.

I don't want to vote for corporatists, centrists, warmongers, supporters of Israeli apartheid, the bogus Russiagate narrative, or those unwilling to take direct action against the extreme environmental degradation taking place, to name a few of the major issues.

Even the candidates I view quite favorably are at odds with some of the items on the list, but I am not holding out for a "purity pony."

But seriously... fuck those incrementalists seeking to be merely a "little better" than Trump, as a stalling action to the reforms that are desperately needed.

They cheat again, they're a greater enemy than the GOP, as they seek to destroy from within.

Ask yourself, if Trump is such a monster (and he is), why would the leadership not embrace a platform that would draw in the portion of the base dissatified with their bullshit? That part of the base that will not vote for another shitty Establishment Dem offering.

It's because they've made it clear they'd rather lose with an Establishment Dem than win with a progressive.

We're supposed to be the ones that weigh the facts objectively. To not see this is truly an unfortunate blind spot.

@BookDeath

As far as I'm concerned, an incrementalist will be like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Same old whining about poor Bernie who Hillary defeated in the primaries 17M to 13M popular vote, 2842 to 1865 delegate count -- not even close! [en.wikipedia.org]

As likely will Joe Biden.
