30 Day No Facebook Challenge check in!

How is everyone doing? How do you feel? Have you signed in at all?

So far, so good for me. I haven't had many urges to check it. The time I did think about it was during a fleeting period of boredom. I'm starting to think I won't go back to using Facebook regularly after the 30 days ends.

I’ve been on a 30 day ban from Facebook before

I have friends scattered around the world. It’s such a useful way to stay in touch. Plus some groups.

However, I do think it can be unhelpful and I am in the process of reducing how frequently I access. Starting with only checking in in the evening, so it doesn’t take up brain space during the day. Then I might reduce it further if I feel I need to.

I have recently stripped back a lot of the settings on my account to increase security and privacy.

Good luck with your 30 days. I’m sure you won’t regret it and I may join you down the track.

No worries for me, never used FB. I use a platform called Minds.

I don't go on there much really

I failed. I suffer from CRS. Forgot all about the challange. But still not as dogged as I was.

I quit last month - but have found I miss the support group messages for dysgraphia (my son has dysgraphia ). That is about the biggest thing I have missed.

I did that a while back about a year ago. It's good for you to work on focusing on other things and not be so dependant on the updates of social media. At the beginning of this year I quit FB. After years of using it I realized it was actually a contributor to my problems rather than any sort of help. It's amazing how much more time you seem to have when you're not checking for notifications every 5 minutes. FB sends me emails every now and then telling me to come back because I have 90 some notifications lol. I won't be going back though.

I'm just hoping I don't end up replacing that addiction with an addiction to this site. So far I've been enjoying this site a lot and the discussions so I'd like to not have this site only replace FB for me lol.

I signed out for two days and during that time my little grandson broke his arm now I'm back on to get updates.

FaceBook can be so addicting and such a time waster. At least is helps pass the time for the bored and less ambitious of us.

Didn't know this was a thing.

@Akfishlady I guess I'm sort of participating. I hardly spend any time on Fb anymore anyway. I'm always here. 😛
