'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' series (I've read the 5 books each about a half-dozen times), and anything at all by Sir Terry Pratchett

I found "Catch 22" hilarious but I think you have to appreciate dry humor in order to really enjoy it. I was unable to put "Blackhawk Down" down until I read the whole thing.

HHGTTG would be the best book for me, Currently reading "Destiny's Conflist" by Janny Wurtz, not as good as other books in the series.
