Who likes sex anyway?

Yes I have many female friends

I have a guy friend, we aren't best friends though. We've never talked about sex, we talk about video games and life.

Well, friendship is one thing, being a best friend is something else. I have several female friends without the benefit of sex. I don't consider any of them my best friend. YMMV

Why do you think that SEX is a benefit ? As a woman I would be offended if a man would consider my submission and love a BENEFIT!

Give me the benefit of the doubt here. My wording wasn't clear. A better way to say it "without the presence of sex" is what I meant, though I understand your inference. And I agree with your point. Apologies for any offense.

Yup

For me, no it always turns sexual.

If they want to sure. I think the question your asking is can a man put his dick away in favor of treating a woman like a human rather then a assumed object of sexual desire. They can if they want. As a man I am consistently floored by mens seeming inability to put sex aside and treat people like humans. Woman and other men. Of course I am also fascinated by men who beat the shit out of each other drunk and call that a good night out.

Yes, i get along with men really well. Some of them have girlfriends and it's not an issue. My BFF is a man but that one's gay so it doesn't count. We kissed a few times while shitfaced drunk though.

Yes I have a couple of female good friends but would never ask them to date me

Roflmao....um, we would like to think so, but ultimately it enters into conversation. Not saying it's impossible, but for the most part, there's eventually talk...Then everything is just....... Different!

I have a female friend for over 20 years now. We only snogged once and that was because she had just been dumped for her best friend. I thought she needed an uplift in her self esteem. So I did it as a friend.

I rest my case!

@SukiSue I only kissed her because a, Like I said she needed that validation of her sexualty at that time and b, I knew that would go no further. We are friends pure and simple.
She is not my only female friend. In fact I have more women friends than men. Okay one of them is gay (she is always bringing up sex). but the rest seem quite happy with just a friendship. Yes the odd innuendo may creep in but thats in the nature of good humored banter, as I othen do with my gay male friends.

Sure. Granted I taught mostly with women, so I had lots of female friends, and they were much better at communicating. A very very few of these friends I had a relationship with, but definitely very few.

I suppose so....

I don't know about "best friend" which implies exclusiveness. But if you meant "close friend", then yes. I have been confidant, advisor, escort, and general close friend to more than one woman, with sex not entering the frame. Then there have been a couple where we knew that we would enjoy sex with each other but chose not to have sex as it might ruin the friendship.

Yes. I have a couple of them, who are both heterosexual and with whom I feel free and easy. I even supplied one with "cover" while she was dating an unhappily married man, who later became her husband. We used to make him jealous by swapping ice cubes - by mouth - but neither of them have never ever had even a passionate kiss, just a friendly peck. I'd hate to lose such good friends. So it is possible. However, I have also had sexual relationships with many very other women (Just fact, not bragging) with most of whom I still have friendly relations.

Actually, One of my Very Best Friends in a woman and Sex is not part of the equation.

I've had a few male friends and one for most of my life. We've been there through marriages, divorces, kids, and death. I don't see why not altho some guys think a woman's friendship is negotiable.

0

Absolutely .... Why not ? We shared interests , organising a community garden , theatre , nothing else . Unfortunately she died last year .

If there is no sexual attraction exhibited by either party, then yes. However, if one person has sexual feelings for the other which are not reciprocated then the relationship is not only incompatible, it's unhealthy.

Yes, absolutely.

Not if he thinks she's attractive or he actually needs his wife's love.
