Is this Nation really ready for Bernie’s vision? I’m a independent and I don’t think so

A lot of people are terrified of socialism because they are clueless, but it's nearly impossible to talk them out of their fear the brainwashing from the right-wing has worked. Yes, most of them are older, however older people vote more reliably than young people do. Bernie has been around a long time and as they dig into old interviews he has given a lot of material will be - already has been turned up that will easily make him look terrible. Most people also don't seem to understand how our government works either. No matter how radical his policies, as president he will be hard put to get even minor reforms passed and if Dems don't take the Senate and keep the Congress, forget it, nothing will get done. I personally fine with him, however unless young people vote in huge numbers he will not win. The only bright side is that if the orange turd gets another term the economy will crash while he is in office and then, maybe, his cult will see they have been played.

More to the point is your Nation ready for Russian and Chinese intervention.

You have been blind-sides by the wrong question.

I don't like his red faced yelly demeanor but I will forever be grateful he has opened the door to actually addressing issues I care about. I will proudly vote for him.

Who wants a national health care system like all other modern countries have? That is just stupid. Lets just keep bending over while the insurance companies keep fucking us in the ass with no lube. That is a lot better. And who doesn't think you should come out of college 30 to 100 thousand dollars in debt, strapped with ridiculous interest rates before they have a job? That would be stupid to get rid of that program. All of this still has to go through Congress. It would not happen overnight, but if it doesn't get there over time along with some other changes like economic equity you won't have to worry about any of this because we will not survive as a country the way things are going.

I can respect your perspective and have no argument, but the way it is being talked about as I listen to most people around me , they truly don’t understand what he’s talking about . Socialism is being tossed around and unfortunately most people didn’t pay attention in school because even though he bases his stuff on those principles I don’t t see him abdicating for a socialist society, even though conservatives are using scare tactics on the people.

@Outsideit67 According to what I have read it is the people over 60 or 65 who automatically jump to communism when socialist programs are brought up. The younger people are smart enough and weren't around for the non existent threat of the USSR. We have all sorts of socialist programs the old fucks like me benefit from such as Medicare, SS, the VA, farm subsidies, and more. Too many Americans are not very bright. The younger folks look at the nordic countries not the USSR as their model.
