The bigger cost to our the American medical system is the equipment vendors. The General Electric's, Siemens, Medrads, Thoratecs and Heartwares gouge the hospitals badly on equipment prices, parts and maintenance fees.This all passes on to the American public. Shameful and fairly undocumented.

I saw this on the news the other night! I guess the northern states do the same with Canada. Easier than trying to get Federal politicians to stand up to the Pharma industry.
