BYU is a Mormon University with campuses in Utah and Hawaii. The Mormon church itself waffles back and forth between conditional acceptance of LGBTQ+ members and disfellowshipping and excommication as different churhc leaders have different viewpoints, as they try to deal with differences between what science shows and traditional doctrines.
