please don't misunderstand me when i say all this chatter and rant aimed at trump is a waste of energy, except that it can make us feel the insanity of it a bit less perhaps. doubtless he is miserable at best. I want to suggest a better or more accurate framing of the overall picture as i see it. its just my opinion and thoughts, that are a collection of other peoples opinions and stuff.

So the RNC & DNC don't seem to work in concert very well, or do they? both groups are owned and controlled by those with the larger purses. it seems to work really well for them regardless who is in charge. when we spend our time bickering about liberals and conservatives are we are playing into the narrative the monied have created. it's a narrative that has kept us adequately distracted. I would like to encourage that we keep that in mind when We complain about the ones whose honor and responsibilities have been stolen from this nation by a few greedy malevolent citizens. the freewheelin and Reckless and irresponsible form of capitalism that has taken hold in this nation is sick. money is an addiction of the system. A system that does not care about the people, it just cares about a human count. a system that leaves its children, it's spouses, and even itself in a lurch. just because we have a bunch of nice grocery stores, mail order magazines, churches, Banks, hospitals, and any other money making design you can imagine, America is falling apart because enough citizens subscribe to that narrative, and are too lazy, dim, and distracted to take back what is theirs.

I think there are a lot of people who are waking up to the depth of the issues within our system and the destructive effect it is having on our society. During one of the Democratic debates, Biden made the point that "we don't need a revolution right now..." and I could not disagree more. Hell, yes, we NEED a revolution. A coup (peaceful please). Some way to enact a system that is a functioning one for all Americans, not just the top 2% and those who are willing to sell their soul for a chance to get up there with them. Neither major political party is going to create that, and no 3rd party candidate will have a chance in hell in our rigged system. Which takes me back to a coup. 😉

that might be the easiest option.

@hankster Efficiency is my superpower. 😉

@Amzungu mine is more like eating pancakes

@hankster everybody's got their something. I am a single mom of two growing boys. I have no time for pancakes, and when I do, there are none left for me.

@Amzungu I don't know how old them boys are but they'd be learning to make their own pancakes pretty quick if I had no time to enjoy them myself. that is a sad state of affairs - no time for pancakes. just the thought gives me the shivers.

I agree fully with this ... "all this chatter and rant aimed at trump is a waste of energy."

Instead, we should focus on what is really our own leaders in Washington are doing, what they should do and ask first to behave and do the right thing for the people.

ASK OUR OWN MISERABLE OLD WOOD DEMOCRATIC LEADERS TO DO THESE OR GET THE HELL OUT!

  1. Remove all subsidies to the rich or poor
  2. Outlaw Citizens vs United
  3. All political donations must be made public by candidate and PACs within 30 days
  4. Increase taxes to 75% on golden parachutes
  5. Implement voter ID law nationwide- with 11 million illegal immigrants in this country, there is nothing unreasonable to expect citizens to prove citizenship ID to exercise the sacred right to vote.
  6. Put 2 term limits for all members of Congress
  7. Tighten ethics law and rules on nepotism, lobbying, campaign finance and an automatic special prosecutor appointment after sufficient evidence is submitted to the Inspector General
  8. Take these appointments out of President's hands, These should have a fixed 8 year term:
    a. FCC
    b. CDC
    c. FAA
    d. SEC
  9. Ban White House appointments by president of relatives and lobbyists in the administration
  10. Remove lifetime appointments of Supreme Court Judges. Make it possible to remove a judge with a 2/3 majority in Congress
  11. Take away president's privilege to pardon anyone. His pardon requests must be approved by 2/3 of Congress. Else not allowed

The rich is not the problem. Blaming the rich for own failures is a more serious problem. The reason the current system is favoring the rich is because the current system is hijacked by the lobby of the rich and it is operating on Uncontrolled Capitalism. The answer to that problem is not swing the pendulum and choose socialism and redistribute the wealth.

the rich aren't the problem, the money is the problem. if their lobbyists have bought the government the rich are the problem if you need to blame a particular group. the system is broken and I think a big healthy dose of socialism would be good.

I do like a lot of the suggestions you make though. ✌️

@Fred_Snerd the problem is in the money. the rich are only the problem as much as money is is what the system thrives on as opposed to a concern for people.

@Fred_Snerd it's a human nature thing. that's why it's a money issue. money is the nicotine in the system.

@Fred_Snerd lol... amongst ants it's a sugar cube.
