The Creek Fire has grown to over 78,000 acres and is located in the Sierra National Forest. Other major fires include the Bobcat Fire in Angeles National Forest in Los Angeles County, the Valley Fire in the Japatul Valley near San Diego, the El Dorado Fire near Yucaipa in San Bernardino County, and the Oak Fire in Mendocino County.
