What a racket, eh? Collect a bunch of writings, edit them, redact them, interpret them as you see fit and convince millions of people that if they question those writings they are questioning the god of the universe.

I was able to move away from religion because I was able to see that the bible was not the word, or inspired word, of any god--but man made.

Once I did this, my mind was free to learn the science I was taught to fear and ignore. And, that is what led to my letting go of the idea that any kind of god exists.
