You celebrate a day that everyone decided that a baby was born...a religious baby that did not exist...ever...you claim days off to celebrate that day...you invent the day after that for another day off well just because...if it was not for religeon would those days matter...it would just be called Friday and Saturday...but it seems to matter that we celabrate a coke advert and a German victorian christmas tree thing to make it so...just me then...

Why do you say "you" here? Don't confuse this non believer site with many other places where brainwashed people get their kicks.

I went to Subway tonight and told the girl working there that what I really wanted was Santa's list of naughty girls. Instead I got a sandwich, told her Merry Christmas, and I left.

I don't celebrate it at all. I mostly work through Christmas, grit my teeth and put up with Christmas rushes, have a lunch with what's left of my family, like several other times during the year, and generally get on with it all. If I could change it to science, reason and social justice day, I would.

The Winter Solstice is over, and if that is not a cause for a knees up, then nothing is! 😉

I don't have any daughters in need of being bought out of prostitution, but I still hang stocking over the fireplace, too. Oh, wait, one of those stocking has my name on it! 😳

but you still need something to not let them

You don't like it, but I do. I do not believe in god(s). I don't think Jesus ever existed. I do like the feeling of family and friendship during the time from Thanksgiving until New Years Day here in the U.S.
Way too much commercialism to be sure. I don't ever drink Coke and I don't buy cars during this time.
I need to have my roast turkey, bread stuffing, and cranberry sauce (not from a can), but I am not adverse to trying some other meal.
BTW I play non religious holiday songs like Jingle Bell Rock, etc...

fuckin really...lol

That’s similar to when Christians talk about the things only churches can do, when in reality it’s just people coming together with a common goal. Suicide and crime also skyrocket this time of year. Having family, friends, and non-canned cranberry sauce (bravo to you, sir) is great any time of year. Personally, I just wish we could do so without celebrating the slaughter of my people or Christian dominance over long gone Pagans.

Hell yeah I can relate!!

Excuse me, but I don't celebrate any holidays. But, I don't mind collecting any of the money associated with them.

so its not about the season but how the fuck money I can get....yup ok...

@James121. Yep, my bills are paid, and I'm not living on the street.
