Yes. Love makes you coocoo, takes you into a la la land and you think dreams are real. That is a mental issue. Before you know it is over, you are back on a dating site blaming your ex again (without realizing you were coocoo first).

Keeps you going and wanting to

Having hope that you will possibly find a loving partner again is what allows most people to continue living and coping. Without it, most men fall into slow death thru decay and decline in their physical and mental health. That's why most widowers who remain single don't last that long.

I think being in love affects you positively both mentally and physically.

I guess love has positive effects on mental health. I think if you love yourself you would keep it together.
