LINK Lil Nas X's 'Satan Shoes' trolled some Christians. But 'Montero' is about more than that.
I guess I’m late to the bandwagon but this is amazing stuff. So many buttons pushed: satanic panic, homophobia, Nike getting miffed. Really it’s a metaphor for growing up gay in a judgmental Christian milieu. The Satan shoes were a nice touch.

That video was surprisingly enjoyable! It's the first I've ever listened to by this artist (I didn't think that his music would appeal to me. I'm glad that I was wrong.)
