Good. Apple is a company that needs to be cut down to size. More stories like this please. And I say that as a guy who was an Apple guy from 1985 to 2019. That Apple I knew back then is dead. It died with Jobs, sadly.

It's the complete lack of transferability that brings the "buy" terminology into question.
Also, through no action of your own, access to any content may be revoked at any time, or content even altered without your permission.
