How stupid of him. Most people in the U.S. who are on welfare (the dole), work. It is just that their wages are so low that they qualify for benefits. Corporations like Wal-Mart actually give seminars for their employees teaching them how to apply for benefits, so they can keep their employees without having to raise wages. By default, it is tax payers subsidizing corporations. It is time for the minimum wage to again also be raised up to a living wage
