Man up means "gather your courage and act responsibility", my response is to act in such a way.

I like the phrase 'man up" or "put on your big girl pants".

I watched this a while back. A very good video and well said.

I saw this on FB. It was good.

I used to use the phrase "cowboy up" or "cowgirl up". But that comes from a decade or two of horse ownership. I'm not sure I ever used the phrase "man up".

Norms are not truths, let people say what they want.

However, I question the character of saying "man up" to young boys, though. Kids can't be expected to be prepared for things that are better handled by older groups, for sure. Something like that has to come from development.
