Tucked in, I work around equipment all the time and flapping fabric is dangerous, it can get you killed if it is caught up in a PTO or other moving part.

Out unless going dressier by wearing a blazer over it. Or if would hang awkwardly below a shorter winter jacket.

Used to always be in. I was squared away, even as a "hippie"! For the last number of years, & a bit extra about the middle, out! Even often dress shirts! & I often wear a vest unbuttoned over that!
