There are 6 million adults in Israel. 80% of the country 12 and up are vaccinated. That leaves 1.2 million unvaccinated. With a more contagious variant It's not hard to figure out. The vast majority of hospitalizations are from the unvaxxed. The USA of not covered as well so it will be worse.

Wow, good question!
I was thinking that when I saw those crowds looking to evacuate. Super Spreader.
Given that they don’t have a lot of tourists coming in, nor much contact with western people, it may not have developed there as fast. India being a business mecca has had a huge outbreak, but inhospitable countries like Pakistan, Iran and others in the Middle East don’t seen to have a major outbreak, at least not that is being reported.
