LINK Anne Rice, bestselling ‘Interview with the Vampire’ author, dead at 80 | New York Daily News

I'm very sorry to see this. I've enjoyed a lot of her books. The Vampire Chronicles series was classic and inspired several movies. Servant Of The Bones is a good stand-alone story. The Witching Hour was too dark for me.

I'm very sorry to see her go.

Outside The Vampire Chron's I wasn't a fan. She thought the attraction was about New Orleans but it wasn't. Even the last Lestat book wasn't very good. 80 is a long life. Not as long as a vampire's but she didn't have to drink blood.

She was Catholic, then left the church, then became Catholic again, then became a secular humanist.
