There have been suicides by multiple stab wounds, but the devil is in the details. Not being a forensics expert and knowing almost nothing about the case, who knows. Presumably the family has hired a good forensics specialist to go over the autopsy report.

Twenty stab wounds? By a female schoolteacher? I don't think so. Anything's possible but this challenges the realm of possibility.

@barjoe We know nothing, how many of the stab wounds were superficial for example? Multiple stab wound suicides often have numerous hesitation stabs. Yes, anything is possible, in this case the actual forensic experts in these matters are the only ones whose opinions matter, not distraught family members or sensation seeking magazine writers.

@Druvius We do know how many stab wounds were superficial, I only posted a link to a news story. There is a crime investigator named Gavin Fish who has done extensive work on this and many other questionable and unsolved cases. I didn't post this because it's very gruesome. If you want to open it and scroll down to the autopsy photos, many of the stab wounds were to her back and the back of the skull. You decide. I have concluded this would be very difficult if not impossible for her to have done this herself. [gavinfish.com]

My uncle had a very similar situation. It was ruled a suicide, but our family believes differently because of the number and location of the stab wounds. It happened in 1967, so probably will never be solved.

Did you see this story on channel 10? This was in Manayunk and the investigation is being reopened. That is horrible about your uncle. 1967 is really cold. This is from 2011.

@barjoe I didn't see this. It's awful!

@Organist1 Mike Jerrick did a very good job on this. I know it's Fox but it's the local affiliate it's not FoxNews.
