Putin didn’t need to invade when comrade Trumpov was (inexplicably) president, because he was doing Putin’s bidding by weakening NATO in Europe and attacking democracy in the US. Trump was Putin’s ventriloquist dummy basically, the most weak-minded and easily manipulated president in history.
