This only goes to show Trump’s idiotic ignorance and stupidity. Modern aircraft are equipped with transponders which can be queried as friend or foe from well beyond visual range. Combat interceptor pilots and SAM (surface to air missile) batteries are not going to care, much less ever even see, what flag is painted on the aircraft they will interrogate, assess as foe, and shoot the fuck down!
