LINK Former NATO Military Analyst Blows the Whistle on West’s Ukraine Invasion Narrative – scheerpost.com

"The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense then turned to NATO to help it make its armed forces more “attractive”. Having already worked on similar projects within the framework of the United Nations, I was asked by NATO to participate in a program intended to restore the image of the Ukrainian armed forces. But it’s a long process and the Ukrainians want to go quickly.

Thus, to compensate for the lack of soldiers, the Ukrainian government resorted to paramilitary militias. They are essentially made up of foreign mercenaries, often far-right activists. As of 2020, they constitute around 40% of Ukraine’s forces and number around 102,000 men according to Reuters . They are armed, financed and trained by the United States, Great Britain, Canada and France. There are more than 19 nationalities – including Swiss."

Jacques Baud is a Putin fanboy. He also argued in support of the Kremlin’s “Special Military “ intervention in Syria. He denies Russian responsibility for the atrocities in Bucha. He may, in fact, have been recruited by Russian intelligence while working for the Swiss Strategic Intelligence Service.

The US was supporting opposing Islamist factions in Syria. Our endless "regime change" strategies have caused untold death and misery. I'm glad Russia helped Assad.

@WilliamCharles So untold death and misery caused by US inspired regime change in Iraq (but not Syria or Ukraine where it was internal dissent that was the trigger) grievously offends your moral sensibilities. But when the corpses start to pile up at the feet of totalitarian Fascist dictators like Assad and Putin you get all misty-eyed and sentimental. Nice.

@NostraDumbass

Our meddling turned Libya into a failed state. We committed war crimes attacking two nations that had nothing to do with 9/11. We tortured people, but when the "good guys" do it, they get a pass.

Fuck that.

@WilliamCharles This is stereotypical narcissistic far left polemic, which insists that nothing bad happens in the world without American complicity. But at what point do the political failures in the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean, Latin American and elsewhere become the responsibility of those living there? Must it always, now and forevermore, be the legacy of Western Imperialism/Capitalism? Is there not also such a thing as Arab/Muslim imperialism? Or Chinese? Or Russian? (And one of the 2 countries that was attacked after 9\11 actually had plenty to do with it).

Fascists fighting fascists.

That would be a good thing, except few of the civilians being murdered are fascists.
