Extending Russia Competing from Advantageous Ground by James Dobbins, Raphael S. Cohen, Nathan Chandler, Bryan Frederick, Edward Geist, Paul DeLuca, Forrest E. Morgan, Howard J. Shatz, Brent Williams

"This report examines a range of possible means to extend Russia. As the 2018 National Defense Strategy recognized, the United States is currently locked in a great-power competition with Russia. This report seeks to define areas where the United States can compete to its own advantage. Drawing on quantitative and qualitative data from Western and Russian sources, this report examines Russia's economic, political, and military vulnerabilities and anxieties. It then analyzes potential policy options to exploit them — ideologically, economically, geopolitically, and militarily (including air and space, maritime, land, and multidomain options). "

Sounds to me like a declaration of war by America against Russia. Furthermore who has created the "great-power competition with Russia"? I was amused by the Russians returning the American from the space station a few weeks ago.

Sounds to me like a declaration of war by America against Russia.

Only to those in love with all things Russian.

Or those not indoctrinated with American claptrap.

@FrayedBear Does that include all those countries of Europe that are supporting Ukraine far more strongly than America?

@Petter Show me a European country not indoctrinated with American claptrap?

How many countries for instance have radio & tv programmes still promoting revering & sharing the beauty & wisdom contained within their traditional & folklorique songs & stories rather than a proliferation of Hollywood misinformation, Fox & Murdoch style propaganda or demand for subservience to American lifestyle, piracy & stupid¹ selfish policy?

#Stupid¹

Stupid(ity)¹ [en.m.wikipedia.org]

These are Cipolla's five fundamental laws of stupidity:

  1. Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.
  2. The probability that a certain person (will) be stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person.
  3. A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses.
  4. Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. In particular non-stupid people constantly forget that at all times and places and under any circumstances to deal and/or associate with stupid people always turns out to be a costly mistake.
  5. A stupid person is the most dangerous type of person.

Corollary: a stupid person is more dangerous than a pillager.

Did Russia declare war on Ukraine? Not officially. US took sides in the "conflict" but haven't declared war. Some "Americans" have taken sides with Russia. We haven't seen that since WWII when the America First faction sided with the Third Reich.

How much does the Rand Corporation receive directly or indirectly from US tax $'s?
