This goes back to Neanderthal, Denisovan and earliest Modem Man. They had to explain away natural phenomena and their own mortality. Smart enough to contemplate these things and creative enough to invent gods, ghosts and goblins. People today have gotten no smarter, maybe stupider. We have scientific knowledge available to us that early man didn't have. Yet eople still believe in these impossibilities. Fear and primitive mentality.

I think I read recently that modern humans’ brains are smaller than Neanderthals’. So in some respects we may be going backwards.

@skado Maybe for brains, as for microchips, bigger is not necessarily better.
