Back from Niagara Falls . My trip it was great , I seen all I wanted to see , and I can take this off my list .
As I woke up w the terrible news about the overturn and the “ we hate women “ decision of this fucking country I chosen to move 27 yrs ago , I stay in my room w coffee looking the 5 miles across to Canada . Doing the math in my head , m I too old to move again ?? Do I really need to be where I am ?
A work email ( these fuckers never stop ), reminding me who is covering who for the upcoming 4th of July wknd , who is on call and this and that .
I contacted my team via text , and told them that I have no f desire to stay home and “ celebrate “ 4th of July shit . If I could turn in this American passport of mine in fact and get back my Europe one , I would . I rather work . And my team agreed . Problem solved .
Back in town now , catching up w news and getting ready for the week ahead , I hope everyone is well , and ladies , support the young and reproductive women in your life . That’s all I can say about that .

Glad to hear you had a good time with your trip, not so much on the other news of course. I tagged you in a related post, not sure if you had time yet to read it. Since the overturn decision, I know clinics and support networks are making moves to "underground" online support groups, so if you know anyone who is interested in starting an online encrypted group dedicated to such I could maybe help out a bit and share some tips, as I host an encrypted Matrix Protocol group on another site (not abortion rights related though).
It seems somewhat bleak at this point, but I think there are other things we could do to help the situation. I hope you don't leave, alot of people need you here and can't help but think that by moving you give the authoritarians satisfaction and a win. Whatever you decide on though, that be strictly your choice.

@Pralina1 The blond lady is a Democrat like me, and just had a triple bypass in March. She’s ready to help get people registered to vote. I just signed up to become a voter registrar in my County. The other lady used to be a republican and regular church goer. She and her husband have left their church and both have become registered Independents. We Granny’s are on fire!!

@Pralina1 I would rather die trying to do something to help young women than live in a Theocracy. My 4 granddaughters and one great granddaughter now have less rights to their body than I did. They are our future, I am not as important.

but still have enough energy to do what I can, and I will never stop trying to help other women on this issue. I’ve been a strong supporter of women's rights and their bodily autonomy since the 70’s. I’ve been a clinic escort in the past for Planned Parenthood, so I know what I’m up against. It’s a cause close to my heart.

27 years ago this dystopian nightmare of now was not so apparent, plus you are a lovely looking white woman, you were younger and new. I've been talking about this GOP movement to take us back to the 1920's since the 1980's and former president reagan.
I have thought I'd love to move, at 69 with issues, well Canada or New Zealand most likely won't have me. hahahaha
That said, there is the fight, we DO have a voice and we need to get loud. Freedom of speech has not been taken - yet!

After Trump was elected my Right Wing cousins were bugging me, asking if I was going to give them my Canadian address. I told them then, and it still goes, I am going nowhere! I am staying here and will fight to keep the country the democracy it could and should be. The promise of the Constitution, no matter hoe the fascist Republicans try to bastardize it, is still worth saving. It could take a while, or maybe justice loses, but I am not running away.
