This morning watched Mom and Dad both feeding the baby dove.
Taking turns, they fed the baby bird regurgitated food (insects, worms, etc.) Both parents were in the nest. Teamwork.
The baby flapped its little wings and vibrated its body excitedly while being fed. It's 12-days old. It is growing longer wing and tail feathers. Must itch. Spends time grooming itself.
First time I've seen both parents feeding the baby. Amazing!
The dove nest is right outside my bedroom window. It's been a joy to watch the baby grow.
