Once again, at the Federal level we are nor nor ever have been a Democracy, we are a Republic. You lack of knowledge is showing AGAIN.

If not a democracy how can you proclaim to be the "land of the free" and is the constitution ignored?
The constitution seems to quite clearly state that it is the people in majority elect the Federal legislature who are tasked with the wellbeing of the people through justice, union, domestic tranquillity, common defence and welfare without discrimination to secure "the Blessings of Liberty current & future". Is it not as Hedges proves perverted to "a nation where the citizenry has been stripped of economic and political power and where the brutal militarism practiced overseas is practiced at home."?

To answer your absurd question (your second sentence); our Constitution is not ignored, our Constitution clearly spells out that we are a Republic, Once again (for perhaps the 500th time) you illustrate that you don't know what you are talking about. Try to use your "logic" to explain how our Senate allots two Senators per State, irrespective of population. That is totally undemocratic.

There are many other example in our Constitution that are anti-Democratic, maybe you should take some time and read up so you don't continuously make a fool of yourself.

By the way, our Pledge of Allegiance says: "I pledge allegiance to the flag and to the Republic for which it stands...."

You are a sorry misinformed case if there ever was one.

@Alienbeing thank you for your explanation. It proves that despite being advised twice you did not read the article. I did not use the word "Democracy". The article's author uses "democracy". Obviously your inattention to reality is also reflected by your country's hypocrisy in using the frequent excuse for invading other countries being their lack of democracy. Don't you think that it's time the USA created a democratic situation for its citizens?

China and India have shift trading with Russians oil and gas. So the BRICS has a standoff with Westernized countries. Where there is a good possibility for some countries to collapse in the Westernized nations. I got my off grid community prepared for the worse. The city peoples should move and get their food, housing and freedom in order.
