We may have bad weather in Ireland, but the sun shines in the hearts of the people and that keeps us warm.
Marianne Williamson.
My wife and I spent two weeks in Ireland about 20 years ago and were amazed -- along with a lot of the locals we saw. Ha, ha.
We never saw a cloud in the sky. People didn't know what to do. It didn't matter that the water was too cold to go in to without a wet suit. They were going to the beach dammit.
I have a satellite picture from that time -- no cloud cover at all.
You're right about the people though. The Irish natives were outstanding.
