(CNN)The special master overseeing the Mar-a-Lago documents investigation has ordered former President Donald Trump's lawyers to back up out-of-court assertions that the FBI may have planted evidence at the property during their search last month.
Judge Raymond Dearie, the court-appointed special master, said in a filing Thursday that Trump's team needs to submit a sworn declaration saying if they believe the Justice Department included any items on their "inventory" of materials taken from Mar-a-Lago that were not actually seized during the search.
The declaration must include "a list of any specific items set forth in the Detailed Property Inventory that Plaintiff asserts were not seized from the Premises on August 8, 2022," Dearie wrote in the order. ...

After he’s re-elected in 2024 he should fire the entire upper echelon of the FBI as they’ve become very politicized and corrupt.

The only reason why Trump isn't in jail is because he is a rich white male. Well, also the political implications are making them wait to build a rock solid case before issuing the warrant for his arrest. Trump will be the first fomer president to be officially charged with a crime.

@Trajan61 There is no evidence that the documents were ever declassified. There is a procedure to declassify documents. And, no Trump can't just declassify documents by just "thinking about it." So, while it is true a president has the power to declassify documents, Trump did not follow the proper established procedures for doing do, and when asked by the judge, Trump's lawyers could not produce any evidence that Trump made any attempt to declassify the documents. So, despite all of Trump's hyperbole, the documents were not declassified.
