LINK Jesus-loving FL school board member wants to bring back corporal punishment

A newly elected Christian nationalist on the Collier County School Board in Naples, Florida says he wants to bring back physical abuse in school, use corporal punishment on kids with disabilities whom he says are “out of control,” and make sure LGBTQ students have fewer rights.

Corporal punishment still exists in some schools. When my oldest was at public school, each year I had to sign a paper to demand he wouldn't receive such punishment (not that he was any kind of trouble maker - although his ennui at school in kindergarten led to his teacher calling us - she didn't know he could read, quite well actually)
