If you once believed in higher powers then, as Descartes might have implied, is it time to examine other beliefs eg. voting right wing, loving guns, aliens are here, calls to admin, conspiracy theories, prescriptivism, agnosticism?

Descartes Meditations were an attempt to prove the existence of God. While he claimed success, he failed. He made a pretty good argument, at the time, that we exist as some sort of thinking creature.
