I think rituals bring us comfort. My morning tea is something I look forward to. It's definitely a ritual and it helps me start the day.

I just skimmed it... but I think some are missing the point. Yes, most/all religions have some sort of ritual with rhythms. Because there are natural rhythms in nature/ the universe. Chanting, drums, singing, etc is an attempt to duplicate that innate pattern in our natural universe.

Does drinking a great cup of coffee every morning with friends and always sitting in the same place count as a ritual? I think so and I like it. I just hate the word "bespoke" I wish people and companies would stop using it.

Forgive my scepticism...but no.. I for one am done with rituals of any sort with the exception of rituals that yield tangible benefits like opening a nice bottle of wine etc etc

I've no need for rituals.

@TheMiddleWay Perhaps so, but who ever said I enjoy that part of those you mentioned?
