My bestie and I made an impromptu mothing trip to Lopez, PA, last night. Lopez has an elevation of around 2,000ft. so it can get kinda chilly at night, hindering moth activity. Last night it stayed around 68°F until around 0200. There was no moon last night, significant humidity, and light cloud cover. We ran two mercury vapor set-ups, about 100 yds. apart, but separated by enough terrain/forest that one set-up was not visible from the other. It was a great night! Here are some of the amazing moths we saw, last night.
Black Zigzag
Huckleberry Sphinx
Zeuzera carpenterworm moth and a Giant Leopard moth
Green Leuconicta
Formosa Looper
Small-eyed Sphinx and Azalea Sphinx
Both light set-ups

Posted by InsectraA cute grey treefrog (Hyla versicolor) that I found in my birch tree, this afternoon. His camouflage was great and I only discovered him when I heard him calling.
