Grab tissues before you watch this.
So touching. This is one reason I do hope I outlive my cats. Volunteering at the local cat sanctuary I see so many older cats come in because their owners died. Most just sit in a corner as if waiting for someone or something to happen. Leo, who I adopted a year ago, was one of these cats. He sticks to me like glue sometimes, like he's afraid he might lose me...just my thoughts.
Leo photo.
Cats are fairly sensitive to their humans. I had a cat named Punkin several years ago, and whenever my wife and I would get into an argument, Punkin would come running to wherever we were and meow loudly, as if to say, "Stop that, you're upsetting me". Gideon, my present cat, follows me all of the house when he's not napping. Saying that cats aren't emotional is just silly, and shows that the person saying that obviously doesn't know much about cats.
Altho most cats have a reputation of being indifferent to their owners, I have known a few that were very attached and comfortingly affectionate to their owners, even seeming to sense when their owners were hurting.
Well you warned us. Got to buy stock in Kleenex.
