Well my cat Spike just caught a mouse, in the house! He's been sitting by and peering under the door where the furnace is so I knew there must be one. I went out on the catio and there he was pleased as punch with the little varmint laying there in front of him. I put on my rubber gloves and got a plastic bag. Picked the little feller up and he had been playing possum! I kept a hold of him though and out the door he went. I praised the great Hunter for protecting the house. Here he is laying on mama.

I always praised my boys when they caught mice. They got punished for birds and quickly learned to leave them alone. My calico, well, she was a decorative cat, she left the hunting to her dad and brother.

Good job Spikey!! Earn your kibble. My daughter moved into a 1900s house that had been reno'ed. After a couple of days her cat was acting funny, and then she found a couple of dead mice. Her anti social cat has earned her kibble for a long time. She may not be cuddly, but she is a mouser!

Good job Spike! Once a little mouse came into my house through the opening by the water heater. I could not figure out why my four cats were sitting in a semi circle near the closet door where the water heater resides....haha...silly mouse actually came into the house. All hell broke loose. Baby caught him and dropped him on the floor in front of my husband. My husband put the mouse outside and for the rest of the evening Baby gave him dirty looks. She must have thought he ate the mouse. Data are a treasure aren’t they?

I have just one that knows how to hunt. Mice got in through the cellar hatch this winter. He brought it up still alive and dropped it at my feet.
The other two were intrigued but had no clue?

Also he did catch it again and it went outside. (Or the body did) eww..

What you need to do is substitute treats for the mouse!
