Cats are like an artfully designed D&D character. They have a number of maxed out characteristics that make them awesome in numerous respects. But they had to utterly minimize a few characteristics to get the points needed for that. One of them was "awake time," it's minimized. A cat can sleep 20 hours a day in perfect health. Lucky buggers.
