The question of Covid-19 on political identity was posed on the Triggernometry Youtube show recently. One thing is for sure - there is tremendous uncertainty where this is taking our society. Blame is as widespread as the virus, but no government on earth was ready for something like this. Even while the pandemic expands the media is still fueling divisiveness and pointing fingers. I can't blame Trump on this - most of his boneheaded comments and actions come about from having to play ball with the powerful Xtian Nationalist Family organization. A year from now when the virus is part of our everyday lives and no longer a hysteria, the media return to it's typical divisive tactics to keep our eyes glued to their hogfeed. Covid-19 is not nearly as big a threat as was the Spanish Flu, WWI&II, The Cold War or 9/11.

It is infuriating to watch as other countries execute organized efficient responses while living through the chaos of the USA response.

I was laid off today. Started looking into unemployment. It's a confusing mess. I can't e-file because I worked in Virginia a year ago and for some strange reason Marylanders can't e-file if they've worked in another state. So I called and there is not a chance of getting through. Just a recording that goes in circles and eventually hangs up on you when there are no more options. So it appears that the only thing to do is to go to their office in person, where there will no doubt be crowds of people doing the same, during a pandemic, and I am high risk so no way I'm doing that.

The corporations get theirs immediately, no one asking "how you guna pay for it, how you guna pay for it, how you guna pay for it, while congress bickers and delays throwing us a bone. If they give us any damn thing it'll no doubt be just to keep some buying power in the working class so there'll be people able to continue buying there crap so they can keep on making money.

And I'm lucky. I've got healthcare and my boss will rehire me after the summer. I have a bit of savings and a temporary job possibly lined up. So many will soon be suffering. I sure do hope it'll be worth something. A wake up call. This is why we need med4all and a competent president. We won't be getting it any time soon though with bewildered Biden as our nominee.
