This is how it works: guy wearing a military veteran's hat gets, "Thank you for your service." (Not that there is anything wrong with that, I'm a vet, too, no hats) A homeless vet - people avert their eyes or say, "Get a job, bum." That attitude comes right from the top: about war and PTSD, "Some people just can't handle it." "I like people who weren't captured."

Not just Republicans, but Right Wing politics everywhere. They hate socialism and government spending, unless it's for a cause they like, the military and their corporate interests. I hope people one day wake up, rise us, and overthrow them.
